Koyo in Nikkō - part 2 of 2

As we devoted the first day in Nikkō to temples and shrines, the second day was meant for more nature sights and hiking. So we started with an early walk to the Kirifuri Waterfalls. We were lucky and got to see them enframed by autumn colored leaves - truly beautiful.
At the next stop we enjoyed a public natural foot hot spring with sulphur water called the Okunikkoyumoto Hot Spring. With warmed up feet we wandered around the Yuno lake and witnessed some beautiful and calming sights. At the other end of the river we walked down next to the Yudaki falls.
After that we made a little hike through Senjogahara, Odashiogahara and along the Chuzenji lake until we reached the Ryuzu falls. After those we started our trip back to Tokyo!
