Exploring Tokyo with a friend

Koyo in Tokyo.
So it happend that a good friend of mine came to Tokyo to visit me and the timing was perfect - peak Koyo (= autumn foliage) time in Tokyo!
For the ‘Tokyo like Europeans imagine it’ experience we first visited Shibuya by night. On the following day I participated in a 10 km run for a breast cancer awareness event (Run for the Cure). That’s the reason why I didn’t bring my camera and stole a few pictures of my friend for this post from that day. Also that is why I wear leggins on the group picture. :D
After my run we enjoyed the Imperial Palace Walk. This part of the Imperial Palace garden is only open for a few days during Koyo and Sakura (=cherry blossom). So, yes, perfect timing.
Then on Sunday we walked through the Yoyogi park, visited the Koishikawa Korakuen garden and ended our sightseeing in the popular Asakusa district.
Hopefully you like autumn as much as we do and are not bored by this post. ;)
