Hokkaidō Winter Wonder Land - part 3 of 4

Sapporo, Hokkaidō

Sapporo by night

Sapporo is Hokkaidō’s capital and has its own Yuki Matsuri (Snow Festival) with many ice and snow sculptures accompanied by many booths. The event is very popular and lively, a lot of people stroll around the festival site.
The festival was lovely, but I have to mention that I really admire people living here in Sapporo or generally Hokkaidō. It was just so cold. I had covered my lower body with 2 layers, my upper body with 4 and was wearing 2 pairs of socks with big boots and gloves and a hat covering my ears. But I was still freezeing despite walking all day. And in the budilings and restaurants it is often not that warm either. So you never really warm up or at least me, my partner was cold too but much less.
The food in Sapporo is amazing. Here I enjoyed the best Kaisendon (bowl with warm rice topped with raw seafood) and Ramen up to now.
